This bar is one shelter which offers you the completed survival kit for a successful evening. Original cocktails at an affordable price, imagined by a surmotivated team ( 5 euros during happy hours) , are waiting for you.

The most famous of them:

-The Goum ( fresh cucumber, mint, vodka, cane sugar).

Walls are lent to artists, not to expose their paintings, but to become their own artistic training support, that’s why the decoration will be very often renewed and experimental. The underground room ( endowed with a smoking room) is equipped with a light box, this is a ceiling of light stuck which flash at the rate of basses and beats (already seen in the famous Watergate club in Berlin).

If you feel peckish you can order a pizza or even a “foie gras” on the bar !

Every evening, famous Djs and groups play for you pop, deep house, electro house, minimal..

Marlusse et Lapin

marlusse

« Marlusse et  Lapin » is a bar in Paris in the district of Montmartre at the station Abbesses. There is a very good atmosphere, in a beautiful district. It would be a shame to miss this bar in the little road of “Germain Pilon”, this place is discreet from the outside but when you go in, and you feel directly the sympathy of this place.

This bar is formerly a ground floor of an apartment but it was designed by his owners while keeping the spirit. On the wall you can see old wallpaper and portraits of grandpa and grandma, a large bed was transformed into benches. With this description you can think this place is for the old person but the animations are pretty nice, you can have a concert, DJ session or films screening. There is always a lot of people who come here, and you always feel good.

The others good points of this place, are that the waiters are really nice and relaxed, and drinks are not very expensive. During the happy hour ( 16h to 20h ), pints of beer are only three euros, and in a normal our it’s five euros, and an other good points is that you can have real Absinthe served in the former like they say. So it’s a good place if you don’t want to spend a lot of money and have a nice late afternoon.

So if you want to go to a really good place, where you can be relaxed, and where you are warmly welcomed, I really recommend you “Marlusse et Lapin”. You will have a nice moment in this unusual place, in one of the famous and nicer district of Paris, and you will certainly meet some people so I hope you will trust me and go there when you can.

“Le dernier bar avant la fin du monde ” : The last bar before the end of the world.

The end of the world has passed but the bar has remained, victim of its success. Originally created to celebrate the end of the world that was supposed to arrive on 21 December 2012, this bar is unlike any other bar, maybe because it was conceived by geeks.

Upon our arrival, the tone is set : we go into a zombie-proof bunker and a “space to feel the imagination.” Inside you will discover a completely offbeat world where Star Wars and Jules Verne collide. This bar is filled with references to delight geeks and non-geeks.

At the entrance is a ship from Star Wars, a place to disarm, and a countdown to the end of the world. Then you can choose between several rooms each of which is its own world: Medieval, pirates, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jules Verne … Therefore the decor throws us into a special world. Its warm and comfortable rooms invite us to play as much as drink.

Card games, books and board games are available. But something is even more original : video games are embedded in many of the tables.

This bar goes even further: there is integrated gaming in a urinal in the men’s restroom. As for drinks, we remain in the theme of the bar with original names and cocktails that make you want to taste it: the precious, the Jedi night, Hollister, etc.. Same for food and tapas. This completely unique bar is a good address if you want to switch world and spend a nice evening that changes from usual. The atmosphere is very nice and we feel quickly at ease even if we are not a geek at heart.

Some flaws though: at 10 euros per drink, the prices are a bit high and the bar is more and more crowded.

Le Cristal

cristal-bar
The Cristal Bar located around many  universities is the meeting point of a lot of students in the 15th quarter. With a happy hour from 7 to 9 p.m, the cheep price attracts the great drinkers.  Quite crowded, don’t expect to sit down during this time.

Zig Zag café

Zig Zag café

Located near the famous “Le Cristal “, the bar “Zig Zag café” has become a landmark for a lot of students and young workers. The good background music, the layout of the room with a very nice little lounge in the background (sofa, armchairs with original patterns …), the heated terrace in winter and kind servers, make the Zig Zag a good address for a cozy bar with a nice atmosphere to remember.
It’s also nice to accompany your beer or cocktail with tapas (tapas guacamole cheese, small ribs, cheese plate …) or a sausage to share. For bigger hunger, it is also possible to eat there (sandwiches, salads, burgers, desserts), by the way the bacon burger is really good.

–> The prices are reasonable but not unbeatable:
Happy Hour from 17h to 21h: 4,20€ a pint of Stella.
About 5 € tapas.
